Anti-virus

Computer virus can cause huge damage to your computer or network and is costing computer users and industries great loss in resources and productivity.  Anti-virus scanning on your computer is an effective way of preventing computer virus from infecting your computer.

But not all users have installed anti-virus on their computer due to the additional cost of the anti-virus software or for other technical reasons.  Besides, keeping virus out of your mailbox in the post office (our email server) is safer in terms of additional protection and saver in cutting the email download time for unwanted email infected with virus.

All Accsoft's email servers are installed with anti-virus scanning software with virus-pattern updated every 4 hours.  email messages coming into our server will first be put in a quarantine area, where they will be checked by our anti-virus scanner.  If attachment files are found, they will be scanned for virus infection and dangerous file extensions which may trigger a program to run on the recipient's computer.

Infected files or contents will be disinfected before delivering to you.  If disinfection is too risky or not possible, or if the file is dangerous, it will be removed and replaced by a warning message to explain the reason of removal and the subject line will be preceded by {VIRUS?}.  The warning message also contains a special code for you to quote our support team if you want to recover the content within 7 days.

The anti-virus scanner scans outgoing email as well.  If your computer has been used to spread virus and was detected by our anti-virus scanner, you will receive a warning message so that you can take actions to disinfect your computer to avoid further damage.
