Once you as the web developer enable the website owner to enter contents by themselves from a standard layout, you can allow them to create pages on the fly on a different page name with different contents. Let's revisit the previous example,

If you nominate this page as the default "not-found" page on the BEE platform, when a new page address is accessed (e.g. whatsnew.htm), the same page will be displayed:

However, when the Administrator user go into "whatsnew.htm", he or she will see the Text Edit Icon next to the "Coming soon ..." text. Clicking onto this icon will lead to the Text Edit Screen, and once the web content is entered and "Save" is clicked, the whatsnew.htm page will be refreshed with the newly entered text. Repeat the same for the "headline" and "sponsor" text, the page will become:

What the Administrator has just done was to create a new page called "whatsnew.htm", literally on the fly. Now he or she click on the "here" link and bring up the "excellent_special.htm" page. The "not-found" page will come up with the default "Coming soon ..." message and the Text Edit Icons again. The Administrator then enter the content in the same way and another page is created:

By repeating this page creation process, the whole web content can be created, by the Administrator alone. It takes the time to type in the content and that's all.
All you do as the web developer is to provide that one page ("index.htm" in the example). You can also allow the Administrator to create and modify menu that links to the pages. All these can be done with few lines of code that exercise the BEE Portal Object. Back
